If you are looking for a job with a different company or industry, it's better to summarize the previous positions instead of trying to create a large pile of details. Not only should you get a good number of words in, but you should also stand out from the competition by having an interesting and entertaining story. That way, it is much easier to persuade the reader that you are a good match for the company and you are just one of many who have achieved success.
